VeggieTales Celery Night Fever – Review

Since 1993 VeggieTales has been helping children discover that God made them special and that He loves them very much. I remember singing some of the songs from VeggieTales at Missionettes Camp, they were silly, fun, and had a good message. To this day if I hear the name VeggieTales I automatically think of the song, “Oh, Where is My Hairbrush?” When I heard that VeggieTales was coming out with a new video, I was so excited to watch it with AJ. If you haven’t heard of VeggieTales head over to their website to learn more about them.

Veggie Tales Celery Night Fever was just released. Here is a little about the video.

Veggie pals Laura Carrot and Junior Asparagus have a big job to do…save their beloved Celery Park from being destroyed! Laura and Junior plan a fundraising concert with the formerly famous Groovy Brothers, but the bandmates refuse to play together because of an old grudge. All  hope of saving the park seems lost until the group remembers that God forgives without question, so why can’t they do the same? Will the band reunite to save Celery Park? Find out in this fun, music-filled VeggieTales adventure.

The video is all about forgiveness and friendship. It is full of memorable VeggieTales characters like Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, and even features the voice talents of Terry Crews as the new antagonist, Bruce Onion. Veggie Tales Celery Night Fever lives up to the fun filled stories you have come to expect from VeggieTales. The message of forgiveness is brilliantly woven throughout the video accompanied by silly songs, and real life applications.

The DVD also has a few great bonus features. AJ’s favorite were the 2 singalongs. This DVD comes with the new silly song, “Perfect Puppy.”

While geared more for the younger crowd, my 11 year old loved the video and is already planning to watch it again tomorrow. If you are looking for an easy way to teach forgivness in your home, this new VeggieTales video may be the answer for you. Would you like to win a copy of Veggie Tales Celery Night Fever?
